I was given this AlphaServer 800 5/333 by a costumer that I helped making it obsolete.
I am using it to surprice myself about all the new features that has come in OpenVMS 8.3 since I worked with VMS Servers. Then it was VAX/VMS 5.5-2 that ruled.

Very nice. Mine has a QIC drive, would prefer the DAT.
I don't even know if tapes are available.

Nice rescue. Looks familiar.. Mine looks the same, sans the top door. Must have been a common config. The AS800 is a great system to dev on, decent speed, memory capacity and up to 4 internal drives.
