I have the red and grey manuals as per a couple that I opened up 4.4 and 5.0 version of VMS.
I got these while I was in school (school was upgrading) and AFAIK, they are close to complete. Of course, being free, they are what they are. Boxes of VMS manuals.
I am willing to ship via USPS anywhere in the world, you pay shipping USPS to your location.
Please, don't ask if I have manual xxxx, I just don't have time to catalog them. If you can use a set of 4.4 or 5.0 manuals (or both) they are yours!
They get recycled in a week to make room in the cellar. (April 11th.2009)

Where are you located, and how big a box would it take to ship one version? I'm in Illinois, between Rockford and Chicago, and might be willing to spring for shipping.

Hi Altivo,
I am in manchester, NH. I will see how many will fit in a box, and get you a weight probably tomorrow when I dig them out.
And can be set usps media mail, which should be the cheapest way of shipping.

Sounds good, thanks. Unless one set is significanlty more complete than the other, I'll go for the grey ones (version 5) rather than the red (version 4?)

I sent you my e-mail and mailing address in a private message here.

I'm not sure what the maximum weight is for a single parcel going media mail, but there must be a limit so you may need two or three boxes. I can pay postage and any cost of packing materials, surely.

No more VAX hobbyist licenses. Community licenses for Alpha/IA64/X86_64 VMS Software Inc. Commercial VMS software licenses for VAX available from HPE.

Just re-visiting.. No more hobbyist licenses? Is that from vmssoftware.com, no 'community' licenses?

I recall that the disks failed on the public access VMS systems that included Fafner

Anyone know what happened to FAFNER.DYNDS.ORG? I had a hobbyist account here but can longer access the site.

At one time, didn't this web site have a job board? I would love to use my legacy skills one last time in my career.

New Hobbyist PAKs for VAX/VMS are no longer available according to reports. Only commercial licenses are reported to be for sale from HPE

Eisner, which is currently being moved, got an SSH update and the keys were updated to more modern encryption standards.
