Hi guys,
I've just installed OpenVMS 7.3 on a new 4.3Gb hard drive on my MicroVAX 3100 but am getting the error above when I try to boot off the new drive.
The two devices in question are DKA0: (CD-ROM) and DKA100: (hard drive)
The command I used in standalone back mode was:
$BACKUP/IMAGE/VERIFY DKA0:VMS073.B/SAVE_SET DKA100:
The command seems to execute ok and the verify completes OK, but when I enter the boot command I get this:
>>> B DKA100
-DKA100
?50 SCB2NDINT, DKA100
and then it tries to boot off the network.
It's been a *long* time since I last did this - any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

80 views and no reply! There must be some good hardware bods out there somewhere!
It's a 4.3Gb disk - is it too big for my system? The supplier says not but I think I'm limited to 1Gb

Yes, the MicroVAX 3100's boot disk is limited to 1.073 GB, see e.g. http://labs.hoffmanlabs.com/node/541
