hi all,
I've a problem with AlphaServer 2100 power supply.
This machine does'nt seem to recieve power at all. So I guess power supply his broken.
My a ESP or ATX pc power supply replace it ?
Else where to contact a old spare parts seller ?
I wish this machine to work, for fun and run Open VMS on it.
Regards
François. |

I have not had my hands on a 2100 in quite some time... but some cases have a cover switch that is designed to prevent the system from overheating... in time they break. The on the AlphaServer 1200 it is in front center to the left of the CD bay... look over the inside of the case covers for an odd placed tab that may engage the switch... then jumper it out. I would test the powersupply - rember you will need something like a disk drive to generate a load... becarefule not to short the leads on the multimeter. If the PS is truly dead... a reseller or eBay
