Hi guys! I have an Alphaserver DS25, 2x1ghz cpu's and 16gb ram.
When I try to boot off the SRM into AXPVMS 8.3 - the console starts to behave strange. The SRM works fine, but when I boot into an install disc or the system already configured on my disk, the text stops updating. I have to hold down a key (preferrably erase) to make the text update on the screen.
I've noticed a message about something like "no timer on CPU0" but it seems strange since the problems starts just about as CPU 1 joins the set.
Any ideas?
edit:
sometimes my SRM didn't show at all, just a blue screen.
Think it might be fixed now, I pulled out my cpu-riser cards and inserted them again... waiting for the problems to re-appear... ^^
