Good God...
SETI use to run on OpenVMS Alpha quite well. I know, because I use to run it on some heavy iron (8000 class systems with 4-6 processors and tons of RAM), and put out more seti files in a day than a PC or unix box could in a week.
Now, they have "BOINC" and no release for VMS. Is that a kick in the *&^* or what?
Has anyone taken their "sourse" and built a working Boinc or Seti program?
It does seem as if all those grids have converted to BOINC now. That's disappointing. I was hoping to contribute to SETI with an Alpha as well. Seems like a natural.
