Am running 7.3-1 (TCPIP 5.3-18 and patched to VMS731_ACRTL v4) on a 500au pws. Have installed and configured csws v1.3-1 but when I try to start it the process is created but I immeadiately get:
%APACHE-E-PROCTERMINATED process terminated with status 00000001
I have given user apache$www exquota
The apache logs have a <warn> and an <alert> about not finding host name. Would a <warn> be enough to terminate the process?
extract from apache$$server.log:
There is 1 process in this job:
APACHE$00 (*)
APACHE$ROOT:[000000]
= APACHE$ROOT:[000000]
= APACHE$COMMON:[000000]

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Cheers - Dominic |

Thanks for the reply. TCPIP is running - I telnet to login and can ftp to the machine. It's currently configured to use DHCP and there is an entry for the current IP when I use $TCPIP SH HOSTS. I 'll try to sort that one out when/if I get apache going. I'll crack on with those ECOs - Cheers Dominic |

Installed the latest update bundle (v6) and TCPIP patch (ECO 4) I could find but still the same problem. Decided to address the host name warning. Manually configured (was on DHCP) TCPIP and apache now runs. Cheers - Dominic |
