I have a couple of CMS libraries that have some problems. I used COPY CLASS to start work on new versions and now I'm having problems accessing the new class. The new class does not show up in a class list. SHOW CLASS <new_class> produces no output at all, just returns to the CMS prompt. Attempts to modify the class itself produce errors indicating the class is readonly.
CMS identifies itself as V4.5. Does anyone know if there are any patches available for this?
Sorry I can't be much help - it's about 20 years since I used CMS but I recall some problem where I had to get some help to 'straighten out' CMS due to some protection problems (CMS - if I recall had its own parallel set to VMS). I think the system guy used BYPASS priv to correct matters.
Thanks. I wasn't able to fix things with privileges. I think it was corrupted.
I looked around through kits I had downloaded and found DECSETECO1128. It appears to contain newer versions of the utilities. The included version of CMS no longer exhibits the problem.
