I have to run an Alpha server GS80 and I need to know which operating system is best to use
So what are the advantages of use OpenVMS? Is better use OpenVMs Tru64 or Linux?

OpenVMS: Reliable, easy to install, still supported.

Linux: Various Flavours, but few ports to Alpha still maintained. You'd need to check that any specific Linux Distribution that claimed 'alpha' actually supported a GS80/Wildfire class machine. Most (all?) of the *BSD Un*x flavours don't support Wildfire.

Tru64 UNIX: Reliable, easy to install, still supported. (CD media kits can be hard to find, but they often appear on fleabay)

Both of the original DEC o/s for Alpha are great choices, but the VMS world probably has more enthusiasts and informal users, and also boasts an HP blessed hobbyist program.

No more VAX hobbyist licenses. Community licenses for Alpha/IA64/X86_64 VMS Software Inc. Commercial VMS software licenses for VAX available from HPE.

Just re-visiting.. No more hobbyist licenses? Is that from vmssoftware.com, no 'community' licenses?

I recall that the disks failed on the public access VMS systems that included Fafner

Anyone know what happened to FAFNER.DYNDS.ORG? I had a hobbyist account here but can longer access the site.

At one time, didn't this web site have a job board? I would love to use my legacy skills one last time in my career.

New Hobbyist PAKs for VAX/VMS are no longer available according to reports. Only commercial licenses are reported to be for sale from HPE

Eisner, which is currently being moved, got an SSH update and the keys were updated to more modern encryption standards.
