I am facing an issue with one of the Alpha 4100 running VMS 6.2. Whenever we start the TCPWARE server crashes with process TCPWARE_DNS at processor. Problem is we dont have a contract with Process Software to get it resolved at their end. We have tried the following:
--Start the server without TCPWare and only with Decnet and the server was running fine for hours.
--We have replaced the Physical memory and ran diagnostics tests.
Test passes successfully without any errors.
--Physical Network cable has been replaced.
--NIC of the server has been replaced.
--Switch port has also been checked for any configuration mismatch.
There were no changes made to the server in the recent past.

In order to provide any assistance here, a crash dump should be examined. Where are you located? Can you get a dump onto tape? Post the results of a Clue Crash from within SDA. That would at least give us an idea as to the cause of the crash.
