Not sure if this is in the right section apologies if it is not. two old alpha 800 servers I wish to play around with. I joined the UK HPUG and obtained two licenses in 2007 but I never got around to installing it and they have expired I paid £50 for the privilege of joining the group but they weren't really much use to me and only really sent me conference dates. I was also a member of the german group. My question is are there any free organisations I can join in order to obtain the hobbyist licences? I only really want to fiddle about with VMS. thanks in advance! |

If you remember your membership id you may still be able to get the hobbyist license. AFAIK, once a number is added to the database it is never removed so you may still valid. Give it a try and see if it works.

Thanks I don't want to seem like a freeloader but £50 a year just to tinker seemed awfully expensive. I wouldn't mind giving a donation to a site like this where I actually get some help. Cheers |
