I requested a hobbyist license and the auto-reply said it had been forwarded to HP OpenVMS Systems response team.
It says "An auto-acknowledgement will be sent to you to confirm your e-mail address and to confirm that we have received your inquiry. If you do not receive an auto-acknowledgement after 1 hour, please re-submit your inquiry and verify that you've entered the correct e-mail address.".
I submitted first time last night and again this afternoon. I don't want to pester them, but not sure I understand the instructions. Was this the auto-acknowledgment they are referring? It seems I should be getting another acknowledgement which I have not.
Just a bit puzzled.... Thanks, John |

People are posting that unless you fill out the "optional" section on what you are using the Hobbyist license for, that the requests are not being processed.
Hobbyist licensing seems to be done by one person in India during their business hours.
So there are delays for the many holidays in that country or if that person is on vacation, etc. |

Ok, thank you. I did fill out the optional box, so for now, I will assume they are just backed up. |
