I have completed the install on a zx6000. I am connected to it via TeraTerm from Windows and logged in as system. I hoped that i can paste the text from the license file i got via mail via the terminal emulation but i get buffer overruns. As far as i know i can get no networking running before installing at least some licenses. Which would be the bare minimum licenses to be able to transfer the file via network? Any hints how to overcome these overruns in terminal emulator would be also welcome. Thanks. Regards Ralph |

Check the status of the terminal emulator as well as the terminal type on OpenVMS. (SHO TERMINAL should help).
Post the terminal specs from the above and verify similar characteristics for the emulator.
Also, while not important for the listed problem, the ZX6000 is an Itanium based system not Alpha. This should be posted in the Integrity forum.

The console terminal port is often limited in buffer size. Get the VMS and IP licenses installed, then you can use a telnet session to paste the rest of the license file. |
