Hello i'm new here almost 2 years ago i finally got my hands on a nice alphaserver DS10.
The problem is that i don't have a license to use openvms.
Now i have go to the openvms hobbyist license program.
There says that to register you have to by a member of a openvms user grup and requieres a "registration number" i tried to get on any of the listed vms user grups mailed to the admin aksed, and waited almos half a year to get no single response from any of them.
I need help on this how i can get on a user group so i can get a registration number.
Any directions will by great help.

The simplest way is to telnet to encompasserve.org and sign up for an account. |

Encompasserve.org is working for me at this time and has been up for 136 days.
There was a network outage for a very short period of time last month. |

Thank you very much
I was trying from behind my office firewall which probably prevented me from connecting.
I have since tried (telnet decuserve.org) from home and it worked!
Thanks again

Hi. It's still not working. No ping responces, no telnet on 23/80 port. Any chances to get it working once again? |

decuserve.org aka Eisner is currently down for a hard ware move to a new location. Those involved are hoping to have it back up early in January.
