RE: How share disk for cluster use ? VMS or Tru64 V5

Bruce may correct me on this, but right now FreeAXP doesn't support shared storeage of the type needed by TruCluster (I can't comment on VMS). I've built a working one member TruCluster (with V5.1B-5), but without the shared scsi, it must remain a single member.
Under Tru64 UNIX V4, the Available Server (ASE) product does not require shared scsi for all configurations, so in theory a V4 ASE configuration is a possibility, but we have not begun testing that yet.
Would there be much demand or need for V4 + ASE out there ?
Anyone care to comment, or tell us if or why ASE is still in use ?
John's right, there is no shared SCSI support in FreeAXP, nor are there plans for any at this time.
You should be able to MSCP share storage over a network cluster under VMS. We need to resolve some network issues before the same type of sharing is available for Tru64.
