Hi,
Quick question: Is it possible to change the CDROM mapping on the fly?
I have a running OSF/1 instance and I want to change the ISO file attached to DKA600. The only way I can see to do this is by shutting down, changing the config then rebooting. Seems a bit of a glaring omission if this is the only way.
Any ideas?
Cheers,

I'm exploring the idea of using a 3rd party tool to mount an ISO as a windows drive. There's a few tools out there it seems. Problems I've come across (and I've only looked at a few tools).
1. Some of the tools don't support the format of some of the CD images I have. In fact, only Tru64 5.1 seems to mount OK.
2. FreeAXP doesn't always see the virtual drive as presented by whichever tool I'm testing with.

The only way to change a virtual CD to a different CD file is to shut down FreeAXP. A work-around is to dismount the CD, then rename the new CD file to use the same name as the old one. You can then mount the "new" CD file. |

Thanks Bruce, yes didn't think of that.
I have had some success with the 3rd party "Daemon Tools Lite" software using the method I described above. It's a bit clunky but seems to work. I'll look at your method too.
cheers!
