Is this expected with the newer freeAXP requiring it's own ethernet?
PC can't ping it's own freeAXP VMS. LAPTOP can't ping it's own freeAXP VMS.
PC can ping LAPTOP's freeAXP VMS. LAPTOP can ping PC's freeAXP VMS
Both VMSes can ping each other.
All are able to ping default router.
All can ping www.google.com by name

Several years ago PC was W8.1Pro running freeaxp 1.0.6.271, OpenVMS V7.2, TCP/IP V5.0
and the PC could ping the freeAXP VMS sharing the Hyper-V external virtual switch
I tried to create another external virtual switch with Hyper-V and it said it was already bound to the only phys ether I have.
I have found some errors on PC
Hyper-V Virtual Switch Manager for PC
select virtual switch connected to external through physical ethernet
Extensions
Only checked box is Microsoft NDIS Capture
The selected extension is not operating correctly. Check the event logs.
System Event logs while running freeAXP
Error Service Control Module 7000
The migration Specialties Network driver (PCAP NDIS 5.0) service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.
I have no windows service on PC with any of the words in the name of the service:
Migration Specialties Network driver PCAP NDIS
LAPTOP doesn't have these errors on it.
Maybe I'll install nmap and ndis6

Is DECNET_PHASE_IV freely available for VSI's student config?
If you are running FreeAXP and Windows over the same NIC, you may have this problem. Windows 10 is pretty good about bridging a shared connection, but older versions of Windows are not. You will get better and more stable performance if you assign FreeAXP its own NIC.
