Hello,
I will have access to an old COMPAQ ALPHA DS10 and I ask myself if freaxp is suitable to emulate this machine?

Short answer: Yes. Technically, FreeAXP emulates an AlphaServer 400. It will run the same versions of OpenVMS and Tru64 UNIX as the DS10. You will be able to port from the DS10 to FreeAXP without issue, with the caveat that FreeAXP is limited to 128MB of memory. If more memory is needed, look at AvantiFlex. |
