Dear All
Here is my setup.
Mac OSX 10.6.x --> Parallels 5 --> Windows 2003 Sp2 32-bit --> FreeAXP --> VMS
While Installing VMS FreeAXP crashes. This occurs when the boot image is being read 10...20... 7[img][/img]0
Here is the log file:

Is VMS having problems with the Intel 21143 Network card?
I use the 13" Mac Book pro released in Jan 2010.
thank you |

OpenVMS 8.3. Sorry for not making it clear the first time.
I also installed VMS 8.3 using personalAlpha. So now I am able to boot and log into the VMS system.
THanks for any help.

We have tried to recreate the problem without success. Everything looks to install and work perfectly installing OpenVMS 8.3 from an ISO using FreeAXP 307 on Parallels with Windows 2003 x32 SP2. The only difference we see is that raperswil has a newer Mac. |

I am having several crashes. The hard drive of my previous Mac Book failed and I was issued a new system as a replacement. This new Mac Book is a quad processor.
This is on Windows 7 Ultimate, 64 bit, running under Vritual box 3.2.12 r68302
with 2 vrtual NICs dedicated to FreeAXP.
To be more precise, the Windows VM is:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 250 @ 2.40 GHz 2.29 GHz
Memory = 1.00 GB.
Mac Book host:
2.4 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 4 GB 1067 Mhz DDR3
Mac OS X 10.6.5.
The emulated NiCs are using the Red Hat virtual adapters recommended by Virtual Box.
It appears that just booting the VMS 8.3 instalation from the CDROM connected, and then leaving it idle for a little while is enough to trigger the crash.
Uptime has ranged from a few minutes to overnight. It appears that activiity on the putty console session keeps the crashes from occuring.
If I boot either the installed image or the CD-ROM and then do not type in anything at the console, I will typically see a crash with in a 2 hour window.
I did not see emulator crashes when running the earlier version of FreeAXP that I had set up on similar Windows VMs running under VMware or VirtualBOX.

I downgraded to "x64 version 1.0 patch 9 build 304" yesterday and I have not seen a crash since. |
