I currently make heavy use of mmov and sound cards under real AXP hardware. Any suggestions as to how I could replicate this under an emulator? I use the ensonic PCI card (in a DS10) that would presumably plug into the windows host but how do I get the emulator to see it? Alternatively , can FREEAXP access/use native windows sound devices? Many thanks for any pointers.

Paul,
none of the Alpha emulators, that I'm aware of, care about sound card emulation.

Thanks Volker. COming from you that is pretty definitive. Not the asnwer I wanted but at least an answer. I'm going to have to do this the hard way: convert to Linux... |

Itanium/VMS users have the same issue, no sound support.
There are APIs for remote sound support over a network connection.
If a server side one that has a client side for Windows could be ported to VMS with an MMOV$ API wrapper it would be useful. |
