Hi - I have a SIMH VAXServer running OpenVMS 7.3 now online. There is a guest account with password welcome123. Access via telnet sanyalnet-openvms-vax.freeddns.org or from HECnet by SET HOST 1.550
lynx, vi etc. and some games and compilers are installed; type in WHATISHERE for currently intsalled stuff. Working on Pine, Notes, etc.
BTW, I found Dave's Telnet pretty neat as a VT-xxx terminal emulator - you can grab the Windoze installer from my FTP server at ftp://sanyal.duckdns.org/pub.

My server is on HECnet now, thanks to incredible help and support from Johnny Billquist - the DECnet UDP bridge works fine. DECnet address 1.550.

Please take your system off the public internet until you can secure it. There are reports on comp.os.vms that it is being used to attack other systems.
For help in securing it, see comp.os.vms, preferably not through google-groups but through a real news sever and news reader software like thunderbird and set to plain-text only.

If you post on comp.os.vms what you are trying to do, there are several people that have managed VMS systems on the public internet that can give you advice.

The GUEST account can now be used only to play a few games, there is no DCL access any more due to abuse. The menu presented to guests currently is:
