Hi There,
I am new to Open VMS and Free AXP emulator. I want to transfer some file from Windows 7 (64-bit) to Open VMS through Free AXP emulator. Can you please provide steps how to enable FTP and transfer files from the same. I create on FTP in windows and want to transfer file by using that FTP. Or you can provide any existing link or Forum for the same where I can find the steps. |

You have to have a TCP/IP program installed on the VMS system.
The hobbyist kits come with HP stack, and Process Software provides some alternate TCP/IP stacks under their hobby license.
The HP VMS documentation site has configuration instructions for configuring TCP/IP and there may be some people that have posted some step by step instructions.
In general it is just making sure that the UCX or TCPIP license key is installed, installing TCPIP as part of installing VMS and then running the @TCPIP$CONFIG procedure. |

Depending upon the version of TCP/IP installed, you'll want to run either UCX$CONFIG.COM or TCPIP$CONFIG.COM to set up TCP/IP services and FTP under VMS. Look for the configuration procedures in the SYS$MANAGER directory. |
