Hi,
I have an rx1620. I'm trying to find out what cable do I need. Is it a standard cable? Does anyone have a link? I was looking at the documentation
I want to connect my rx1620 to my computer, so it can behave as a console, since this server that I have (rx1620) does not have a video card.
I guess I need a serial port. Has anyone been able to connect it to a usb port since most of my computer now days don't have a serial port. I know they sell serial to usb. would that work ?
Please help.
Thanks,
Francisco |

Also, there may be another way, which is connecting it to the network. Anyone has done this before? Do I just ssh or telnet to it?

To connect to the network must know the ip of your server. And then make a telnet |

If you have a usb-db9 cable set on your computer, with a terminal emulator must set a session serial com1, 9600,8,1, none
The port (com) is the one set up with your cable. |

Do you have an iLO? That would be the easiest way to configure it. It you have to serial into it sometimes those usb to db9 cables are a little finiky. |
