I'm a Graduate Student at Florida International University. I'm doing my PhD in AI (trying LOL)
Well, I did work with between 1994 to 1999. I have an alpha workstation (250 4/266) which I'm waiting for my updated kit to install. I do know how to use it, but it's been so long, that I forgot so many things... However, VMS is friendly.
I'm waiting for additional memory to set it to the max (512.) Why ? I have no idea... I'm a geek... I'm also waiting for a 4 gb hard drive ( I Hope it works ) because right now, it has only 500 MB. (why do I need so much space? )
Ok... now the good stuff....
I'm waiting for to HP integrity servers (used) I don't have any media for that, but I hope to get it somehow...
In general, I love computers.... I have to be honest... my real love is with ATARI 8 bit computers
what I would like to do with my Alpha? Well, first thing , I want to see how can I install a PCI USB Card and make it work for external hard drives... given I have limited time, I don't know if I will be able to do it... but is in my to do list...
