Well, not really. But it is really cool. I have acquired several VAXes from local electronics recyclers and such and it brings back so many memories. I absolutely love seeing that $ prompt again. Thanks so much for making VMS available to us hobbyists. Really, I cannot thank you enough!

Please, please tell me where you found VAXes around here. I haven't found a single piece of old DEC equipment since I left the east coast! |

Well one place to get old DEC/Compaq/HP Alpha and VAX iron on the West Coast is:

I just got an AS500-400 from them for under $500.00 with VMS installed and a 1
year warranty. It will not keep up with my AS4100 room warmer but the shipping
is cheaper. My employer just bought two ES45s from them to run Tru64 and Oracle
for another couple years which is why I decided to make an impulse purchase. |
