I have looked everywhere I can on how to get the OpenVMS VAX Layered Products CD. The links either don't work or have links within them that don't work. Can someone please point me in the right direction?
Thanks,

Are you talking about the Hobbyist kits? or just Layered products in general? |

Just the layered products. I have both OpenVMS Alpha and OpenVMS VAX kits up and running on simulators. I want to start to run a number of other programs and need the SLP CDs.

Jon,
If you are a hobbyist user then you are "allowed" to get your binaries from anyone that will loan you a set of the CondDist CDs. Commercial users need to contact HPE/VSI or a local dealer.
What era Layered Products are you looking for? VMS 7.3? Layered Products are generally okay using with newer versions of VMS, but not vice versa so knowing what version of VMS is your target helps.

Hi John,
Supposedly there is a way to get the CDs for $30. There are quite a few references to it, but no information on how to actually make the purchase.

I think you are referring to the Montagar Hobbyist CD. That hasn't been available since HP took over the Hobbyist licensing in 2012. With that they created the FTP site that you get when you register and ask now. The Montagar CD only had a few of the LP on it which were the most popular. |
