Hi,
I ordered a VAX hobbyist kit on March 18 and I haven't gotten it yet. I already sent a private message to HobbyistOne, but I have not gotten a response. I'm wondering what the status is on the shipment. I know HobbyistOne is a busy person, but after this much time has passed one has to wonder. So where is it?

Also this website has been acting up. I keep getting this message among 403 forbidden errors:

I ordered a CD on 20-apr-2011 and have not received it. I followed up with Montagar on 11-may-2011 and they've not even bothered to reply.
I was looking forward to using VMS again but have been stopped in my tracks by this guy.
My advice to anyone considering buying one of these CD's is don't bother. You're wasting $30. |

thanks malmberg. that was over a week ago and still no joy.
i'm just a bit cross as i've been hunting for an original microvax for a couple of years and finally have one. i've managed to get a cd-rom drive for it as well as the scsi cable and a proper vt320. all i need is the media! if i don't get the media i've wasted a lot of money. more importanly, i won't be able to run OpenVMS again. that's what ticked me off.
if the guy has personal issues or, god forbid, isn't very well then i'll happily wait. it's just the refusal to communicate that's frustrating. |

It actually arrived. Two months after ordering it, the CD arrived. The postage says it was shipped on 31-MAY-2011, meaning it took 5 weeks for it to be shipped.
Still, at least I have it now! |
