Folks,
I said "yes" to setting up a cluster on an install. Now I am not sure I need it. Is it possible to remove it?

Yes, set the sysgen parameter VAXCLUSTER to 0 through modparams.dat and re-run the autogen procedure until your parameters are what you want, and reboot.
I generally set up most of my systems as clusters to allow me to use them to be boot hosts for "diskless" satelite nodes. This can be used to copy over install media to them if I want to do a standalone boot for a system with out a CD-ROM.
Eventually though, I would like to set up the Inforserver software on OpenVMS/Alpha or IA64.
